Guillaume Filion is the head of a research lab at the Universtity of Toronto Scarborough. His professional pledge is to remove the boundary between molecular biology and bioinformatics. He did his PhD at the Curie Institute in Paris under the direction of Dr. Defossez, followed by a postdoc at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam under the direction of Dr. van Steensel. His first faculty position was at the Center for Genomic Regulation in Barcelona. He maintains a blog about statistics and other topics called The Grand Locus.
